Abstract

This paper deals with analysis of the effectiveness of missionary activity of the Jesuit order all around the world. The main goal of this paper is to specify some preconditions of remarkable achievements of the order taking its worldwide missionary activity into consideration. The author discuses the contribution of the founding personality of the Society of Jesus for the order’s successful existence. Further the author mentions the importance of the unique rational organizational structure of the Society of Jesus which initiated successful missionary activity of the Society. Last but not least the author describes the missionary strategy – first of all the importance of the accommodation method which helped the development of the Jesuitical missions in the world much. The paper finally underlines the urgent need to draw lessons and inspirations from the example of the Society of Jesus for the work of other monastic orders in the world even nowadays.
