Abstract
This article gives an overview to three different areas of research related to young people. First, it introduces author’s understanding of young people in theological terms and attempts to argue for crucial importance of such perspective in any kind of theological reflection on (with and for) young people. Second part offers insights from the field of youth ministry research and practice when trying to answer questions related to its nature and different shapes, this relatively young area of practical theology and even younger filed of academic reflection took throughout its own history. Further, in part three, some ideas on what may be called youth theology are mentioned and this relatively new way of doing theology is introduced with a special respect to its missiological as well as missionary implications.
