This article is a potential contribution to academic and professional discussions relating to the development of mission models at present. The author of the article has been examining the development and transformation of mission models and strategies for several years. This article concentrates on finding current models of mission activities applicable to today’s world marked with severe globalization. As a starting point for research, the example of a contextual and acculturational model is used. However, the current model should be its transformation. The current mission model is also presented as a reminder of the plurality of methods, attitudes and strategies in today’s mission activities. The author of the article uses the “pluralistic mission model” as a working name for the model. Furthermore, the article provides an interpretation of the fundamental characteristics of this “pluralistic” mission model.
