This article represents a contribution to the discussion on the issue of pastoral care of families. The contribution is based on the situation of the current threat to the family and focuses on pastoral care of families in the Roman Catholic environment. It is inspired by the Catholic community, which, through pastoral and evangelization approaches aimed at promotion the family in social and spiritual dimensions can serve as an example of best practices for other similar centers. The basis of the contribution is a pilot research project on the evangelization of families realized in the urban environment in Slovakia. The research results present several key aspects related to pastoral and evangelization approaches, which are also missionary in nature and can be applied in practice. This project also opens up space for discussion on pastoral care and evangelization of families through Christian communities that want to extend their activities to the holistic accompaniment and support of families.
