Evangelisation brings the good news into all layers of humanity and reforms the personal as well as the common conscience of the people by the power of the Gospel. All endeavours of evangelisation have to be connected with an all-round liberation of people. Today it is understood as a varied and dynamic activity comprising the elements of inculturation, bearing witness, preaching, community and service. Forty years after Vatican II the Church is successfully active in many different fields and thus gives the soul to a world full of contradictions.
