The collection brings five chapters on the role of media in the contemporary society, on media in Croatia and the world, communication through new media, on the sense of the Church media and the history and present of the magazine "Živa zajednica". The chapters are based on the lectures given during the yearly pastoral conference of the Croatian pastoral workers of Western Europe which was held in Bad Honnef September 26 to 29 2011 on the subject "Media, Catholic Church and Globalization".
