Abstract

"Baptists suggest two major ways of dealing with the uncertainties of the outside world. For the members of the Church there is a dense social network that embraces every aspect of social communication and interaction: one can rent or let, hire or get employed, buy or sell within the network of "brothers and sisters in Christ", as mutual support and guarantee of trustworthiness. For the outsiders, the only way is conversion to Christianity, which, most importantly, gives salvation, but also includes one into a big Christian family."
