This study deals with a current religious topic, the main aim of which was to answer the basic research question concerning the position of Catholic spirituality in the mission territory of North Bohemia (Litoměřice diocese). The sub-objectives/hypotheses examined the variables‘ differences, using Pearson chi-square test, in comparing place of residence, gender and age. The results showed a slightly positive opinion on Catholic spirituality among the North Bohemian population. The research also arrived at realistic and/or reasonable assumptions that the general public expects not only from their leading hierarchs, but also from the laity representing Catholic spirituality of North Bohemia. In terms of the religious dimension, these results can be viewed as a certain contribution to the renewal of the future direction of the Catholic Church.
