Abstract

This article briefly explores several aspects that may be important in the work of field and community social workers with the Roma community. It covers selected principles of field and community social work, the perception of religion and belief in God among the Roma, as well as their understanding of certain important customs, traditions, and holidays, including the role of a Christian priest. A deeper understanding of Roma traditions, customs, and the perception of faith among the Roma can also contribute to a positive relationship with the Roma community and the dismantling of prejudices.
