The paper discusses the historical influence of Russia in Central Asia and its implications for Christian mission in the region. Russia has occupied Central Asia since the 18th century, and the historical relationship between Russia and Central Asia is still special to this day. This paper emphasizes the view that regional studies are very important in seeking mission strategies, and particularly examines this with a focus on the historical relationship between Russia and Central Asia. <BR> This paper seeks a mission approach strategy by arguing the overall relationship between Imperial Russia and the Soviet Union in Central Asia and the relationship between Russia and Central Asia after the collapse of the Soviet system. Central Asia will continue to have political, economic, and social relationships with Russia in the future. In this respect, it is judged that regional studies arguments still have importance in establishing mission strategies in Central Asia. And through this, God’s mission will continue and advance through church planting and mission projects.
