Abstract
Since II Vatican Council in the formation of the seminarians are many new aspects. One, the most important, is missionary formation the future priests. The article is based on the ideas of the Encyklika Redemptoris missio and the new vision of the Pope Francis. Missiology as an academic discipline must be more open for the new ideas from other continents and Christian denominations. The Church is missionary by nature and pastoral service and organization must concentrate more on this dimension, also in ecumenical perspective.
