The article examines the fundamental missiological terms of the German missiologist, Theo Sundermeier, in the Anglo-Saxon theological context. It reveals that Sundermeier was successful in describing the contemporary experiences and methods of mission by using the term convivence. It notes that convivence depicts a new paradigm in missiology that involves a new attitude of mission with substantial effects on its practice.
