We live in a time when mission and mission topics get less and less space in Catholic periodicals around the globe. The situation is not better in the Croatian Church. There is simply no room or interest. Different reasons are being given about it, that we and Europe are a mission country and a mission continent or that this topic has no place in the time when secularization and globalization in different form are taking their place in the life of our society and our circumstances. Regardless of the time, this topic does not lose its importance. All baptized faithful around the world, especially all responsible persons in the Church, are constantly encouraged by the popes to have their missional consciousness and responsibility alive and current in all parts of the Church. Aware of their responsibility for the missional task of the Church, the bishops of Bosnia and Herzegovina decided to choose mission as the topic for the autumn of 2006. In this way they wanted to encourage their priests to a more responsible relationship to the mission. They wanted our Church to be a live branch on our tree of our missional responsibility. They were aware that during the year there are different ways in which we can show our responsible relation with the mission. They emphasized how the missional task is being realized in the parish community.
