Abstract

Described as a state of spiritual bondage, magic is, according to Father Dumitru Staniloae, "a convenient way, because it requires no moral effort, but that is precisely why it is a slope on which man rolls from the dignity of a free and spiritual being". It is one of the forms by which demonic possession has been perpetuated to this day, continuing fraudulency through new, hybridized, highly aggressive and contagious forms. Therefore, the Church has, at its address, a combative attitude, with its own, spiritual means, acting differently and step-by-step, in order to achieve its goals: the return of the lost and their transposition on the path of salvation.
