The article aims to deepen the importance of the religious phenomenon to substantiate the missionary work of the Orthodox Church in the work of perfecting the relationship between God and man. The specification of some meanings that can involve terms and concepts such as religious phenomenon, conscience, experience, as well as how they should be understood and used by the Christian missionary, is the main objective of this paper. In the same context, we are convinced that understanding the origins of these terms and their relationship is equally important for Orthodox missionary work, because we believe that by knowing the structure and functioning of the religious phenomenon the Orthodox missionary act can be enriched.
