Abstract

"In this article, I shall try to illuminate this interrelation and interaction of the eternal and the transient amidst the on-going social and economic crisis, bearing in mind the keynote question of the mission of the Church under the given circumstances. The article examines how mission can be best applied within a turbulent situation, and vice versa: how conditions of extreme impoverishment and injustice, such as now apply in Greece, influence and mark our missiological understanding.
