In today's era of globalization, confusion, freedom and deconstruction, the Orthodox Christian testimony is a lively and hopeful presence in dealing with the modern problems that exist in society. In the troubles of the suffering humanity, it promotes meanings that lead to the encounter and unity, while condemning the disruptive and warlike logic of conflict and confrontation. The mission is creating a new transformational perception of man, society and social life, an alternative proposition of culture in modern, atomocentric and technocratic globalized society, contributing to the creation of "civil society". It demonstrates the unshakable principle of social cohesion and socialization, providing ever more profound foundations for human co-operation and the service of the whole human race. It offers the contemporary man existential fullness to a shallow emptiness of a split humanity. It invites man into communion with God and gives meaning and purpose to his existence. It gives answers to its existential problems and offers the possibility of life in the world with a transcendent perspective. However, the genuine Orthodox mission does not oblige anyone to accept and embrace the positions and ideals that the Gospel message contends, but is entitled to inform it responsibly and to offer an unbroken, living testimony of the living God.
