New projects of missionary theology of the Orthodox Church in Romania. The paper was presented at the 9th Dialogue Meeting of young people from the Evangelical Church in Germany and the Romanian Orthodox Church - "Gehet hin in alle Welt...", held in Edemissen/Germany, between September 19-26, 2002 and presents the character internal and external of the Christian mission as it is understood in Orthodoxy. The inner mission concerns the preparation of the believer, through the spiritual approach made on him, to give witness externally, to his peers and to creation as a whole, about the presence of Christ in the world and about the new life that He brought and which is alive. Thus, the internal mission is the foundation for the external one, the latter essentializing the former. The example of Romanian Orthodoxy after the fall of communism is illustrative of these aspects, the social, charitable and philanthropic dimension of the Church being rediscovered and applied according to certain models of other Churches that did not experience communism, so that the testimony of Orthodoxy makes responsible not only the institution but also each individual believer.
