Abstract
Religious education, component element of the mission of the Church in the world. The religion class is seen as part of the mission of the Church. Mission includes several aspects that are all observable in religious teaching: presence, that is, personal, face-to-face contact, proclamation, participation, prayer and catechesis. The legislative status of the religion class in Romania is then presented, throughout its post-December history.
