The missionary work of the Church is the result of both the clergy and the Christians’ action. Along with clergy, laity must be a living element and has to participate actively in the work of the Church. We can speak about Christians’ apostolate and about the witness of the laity in contemporary society only if they actively participate in Church mission by the holiness of their lives that is: by their participation at Church religious services, by their communion with Christ in the Eucharist, by teaching the Holy Scripture word, by overcoming the sin and committing virtues.
