Abstract

Christians believe in eternal life after death, but this is not only a future, eternal life began by Christ rising from the dead. And as Christ remains with the faithful, eternal life began for them already now in real. The real "death" actually occurs at baptism, with the transformation of the "old man" into "the new". In this sense, death is no longer considered a natural disaster, but a continuation of life in eternity. The experience of martyrdom includes the death experience and a Christian attitude toward death gives legitimacy to their faith. This freedom before receiving death is based primarily on faith, repentance, Holy Eucharist, less on courage. In the testimony of martyrs of the faith, the power of the testimony in death comes not only from nature, but from the help of divine power which is in him from the beginning, ie from grace. A first aspect of martyrdom is testimony to the price of earthly life as the supreme value of life forever, then another aspect is the work of apologetics, apologists were the first martyrs of the faith.
