Abstract
In this paper the present distribution of religious, spiritual and atheistic convictions and world views and religious adherence in Russia is discussed, with a view to the distinct Russian cultural embrace of spiritual diversity in the prevalent combination of Orthodoxy and Esoteric traditions, and the consequences and challenges for the Russian Orthodoxy, viewed from the perspective of German Protestantism for ecumenical dialogue and exchange with the Russian Orthodox Church.
