These developments have theological and ethical implications. Therefore, the church has an important responsibility in this technological age. The warfare between science and religion now belongs to the past. They should work together for the humanization of societies and for the transformation of the world. They must move from contradiction and polarization to creative interaction and close collaboration. Theology and technology, ethic and technique, must be taken in their inter-connectedness. The church must support technology and use its benefits on the basis of ethical principles. The church also has the vocation to become the critic of technology.
