Abstract
This article develops a guide for churches of the evangelical confession and explains general concepts of church social work, practical forms of its implementation and a brief outline of social ministry throughout Church history. This material helps evangelical churches to answer the question: how to act - i.e. to really devote oneself to serving a person in his/her difficulties and needs, with enthusiasm, and therefore with grace, in cooperation with the Lord.
