Abstract

The article shows that the emergence of different cultures, peoples and languages is part of God's plan, although it appeared as a result of punishment. The author presents a broad perspective on the economy of God's salvation from the Tower of Babel, through the life of Abraham and Israel as a people chosen for the mission of God among the nations. The role of Jesus and the mission of His disciples to all nations are especially emphasized. The article demonstrates how the event of Pentecost marked the beginning of this mission, points out the role of peoples and their differences in revealing the already coming Kingdom of God, and how different languages and cultures contribute to a fuller understanding of Scripture.
