Abstract
In this period of special challenge from medial perspective (SARS CoV-2 epidemic), a short presentation of the presence and work of Romanian Orthodox Church will underline the importance of its involvement in society. Seen the neighbor as an alterus Christi, as our Savior Jesus Christ, Romanian Orthodox Church constantly sought to take care of the disadvantaged, of those who faced great trials of life. For that, this article presents some historical perspective about social-philanthropical work of Romanian Orthodox Church in the society.
