Problems of Evangelism is the second book by Pavel Ignatov (born in Sofia in 1948). until the 50s of the XX century. Unseen analogies between the doctrines and liturgical practices in the Church of God in Bulgaria and Bogomilism, as well as with informal Christian movements in Russia and Ukraine in the XVII-XIX centuries. Relations between Bulgarians and foreign missionaries are viewed through the prism of the changing image of the "other" in the context of the universality of Christian culture, constantly challenged by xenophobic outbursts of "national identity" in Christianity.
