Before His ascension, Jesus Christ sent the apostles, according to Mt. 28, 19-20, to testify about all the things they had seen. They shall fulfill at least three conditions: to travel around the world, teach the true faith and baptize. All these actions we find in the case of the martyrs. Regarding the second claim of the mission, learning, among martyrs there were bishops, great theologians who preached the word of truth in prison and even in the death moments. Giving up their lives for an idea, means that this idea is really worth it. The last action - baptism – and many were baptized in prison, after seeing the perseverance of the martyrs. The value of the mission accomplished by martyrs means that their relics are the Holy Mass and the Holy Table.
